FIRST Robotics Competition and FIRST Tech Challenge
FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) are designed and proven to encourage students to pursue education and careers in STEM-related fields while also inspiring them to become leaders and innovators in any industry. Students in our program are exposed to scientific and engineering principles alongside the use of industry-standard software and equipment.
You’ll Get To…
E-STEM Application
Students are exposed to industry standard engineering and coding softwares and are required to analyze, design, and troubleshoot solutions to real-world problems.
Hands-on Learning
Under strict rules, limited time and resources, teams of students are challenged to raise funds, design a team “brand,” hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors.
Communication
Students will master how to articulate their thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively; public speaking and presentation skills; and the ability to write and edit work-related materials clearly and effectively.
Career Development
Students are given the opportunity to cultivate and improve upon their leadership, teamwork, problem solving, and communication skills under the mentorship of volunteer professional mentors with connections to the E-STEM field. FIRST Robotics is said to be as close to real-world engineering experience that a student can get!
